The Wire

Well it’s finally over, that is the last season of The Wire. I was talking to a friend the other day and asked her what she thought my first topic for my new blog should be. She immediately said The Wire. I knew this HBO Series was a hit with my family, but there was so many people that I work with that also followed the series.

I have watched The Wire since the first season and can not believe it is finally over. I guess all good things must come to an end. Several of my friends said that we should let them (HBO) know that we want more, however I honestly feel that with all of the characters that got touched (killed off), there would not be any way to replace them.

Well let’s look back on some of my favorite characters through the years that got touched,

1. Stringer Bell
2. Omar Little
3. D’Angelo Barksdale
4. Preston Brodie Broadus
5. Prop Joe
6. Felicia Snoop Pearson
7. Calvin Cheese Wagstaff
8. Butchie

These characters had major parts and every time one of them died, I was shocked!

Shiiiiit... I don’t care about ratings and never did, I wish this series could last another 5 years. Let me know what you think about my blog and by all means please feel free to leave your comments.

Black In The Day

I just thought I would go back to a time when I was a young man trying to find my way in life. I had ambitions just like most young black men. I wanted a nice ride, a pretty girl, and lots of money. Well today I am a lot older and some of my desires have changed but I continue to dream like I did when I was a young man. I find that today black men have more issues to face than 30 years ago. Very few black men today have been in a long relationship, have had continued financial growth, and overall good health.

What can we do to change the cycle? As we go along I will be looking into ways that we can secure our piece of the Black American Dream. I have been working on some online businesses, my own Web Hosting business www.worldsubmits.com, and a Black Dating website www.blackdating1.com. These are examples of ways that black men and women can supplement their income and work from home at the same time.

Over the next few weeks I will explore other avenues for wealth building and health building. Stay tuned!
